Cold bituminous concrete [Béton Bitumineux à Froid – BBF] is a cationic bitumen emulsion mix with 60 to 65% C65 B 5 type road bitumen with a 0/6 or  0/10 continuous aggregate size, whose water content has been adjusted to control reactivity and homogeneity.

160/200 or 70/100 bitumen is used, with the residual binder content ranging from 5.0 to 6.0 %.
